The DCS Excavator X-Y Data Acquisition System (AccuPlot)
is a computer based data acquisition system specifically
designed for the mining industry. The flexibility of software
enables the system to emulate different analog test equipment
without any additional hardware costs. The following is
a brief description of the functions currently available
on the AccuPlot System.
The AccuPlot system volt-ampere (X-Y) recorder function
is used in the mining industry to:
A)
Determine the operating efficiency of a particular
motion on a dragline,
shovel, or drill
B) Aid in troubleshooting system and regulator problems
C) Aid in troubleshooting loop unbalance problems
The
Data Acquisition Amps RMS recorder determines whether
a particular motion is being overloaded for extended
periods of time. If a current overload is occurring,
the user can determine why, and hopefully resolve
the problem prior to equipment damage.
The
Data Acquisition 8-channel brush recorder can be applied
in troubleshooting various electrical problems on the mining
equipment.
DCS
customizes the system to make the X-Y recording simplified
for each excavator. The user simply identifies the excavator
and motion and then a scaled four-quadrant X-Y template
is displayed and ready for recording.
DCS
offers several levels of software based on the number
of excavators at the mine property.
